Jakwob - 'Here With Me' video

Its safe to say this first Jakwob release under his own label Boomting Records is pretty eagerly awaited, a string of massive remixes of people like Katie Melua and Dan le Sac & Scroobius Pip has led up to him playing the fesitvals this summer, and crafting a beautiful video to the single Here With Me. It got released yesterday, so be sure to pick it up from iTunes, Amazon or wherever you hip cats are picking up your music from LEGALLY nowdays!

Enjoy!

What have I missed!?

Wow, I didn't think I'd be affected by not having the internet so much but I was! What have I missed... oh yea, MAH finale, Burial and Kode9 hitting her with a gorgeous little mix, notibly for me included Natalia's Song by Zomby, I fxcking love that little dub there. Erm, congrats to Joy Orbison for putting pen to paper up at the Chrysalis offices, expecting massive things now!

Anyway! I'm back now... Interviews coming up, mixes are planned, it's gonna get messy over the next few weeks!

Burial update?

Seen on Kode9's twitter... http://twitter.com/kodenine/status/22821463733

Who fxcking knows! There's been shiteloads of rumours going round. I've heard Burials the final guest for Mary Anne Hobbs, I've heard FACT magazine had snippets of new Burial material but Hyperdub wanted them off... but you know, rumours ARE rumours, let's just hope some new Burial surfaces soon, whatever the circumstances.

But there is, in fact a more humourous update, "We are however releasing a double cd of sam Mitchell screaming" - Kode9

Imagine the samples comin' from that badboy!

Kode9 to preview new Burial material

Here we go!

Kode9 to play an exclusive set full of new Burial material from his long-awaited third album which is due some time next year!

Unfortunately this is a treat for the festival goers of Italy and Turkey who will be attended the 10th Club to Club festival in Torino and Istanbul...

Thats not even including acts like Darkstar, Shackleton and Joy Orbison emptying their bag of goodies all over the dancefloor..

What a festival this promises to be!

Picks from Ninja Tune XX (20th Sept)

20th September see's the massive 6 CD boxset from Ninja Tune. I can't remember anything this epic being released in a long time, and I hate using that epic word, makes me cringe.

These are a couple of my picks of the 6 CD's...

First up is Dark Sky's 'Leave'. The minute and a bit intro leads you straight into a wall of colourful sound on the drop and future garagey beats, ghosting snare and snappy percussion. It's just bloody lovely! I fell in love with it back when I heard it a good five months ago...

Leave - forthcoming on Ninja Tune by Dark Sky

Next up is Eskmo's 'Cloudlight'. Such a captivating and haunting voice over these clanky claps, bubble FX and pads that make you think War of the Worlds might've actually happened. All represented by this beautiful video, enjoy.

It's hot, it's sweaty, it's like having sex in the dark corner of a club.
